| | Could we make this thread a sticky? Apparently this is a pretty accurate news story and several dogs & cats have in North America died of renal failure as a result of tainted pet food.

| | My local news said dry pet food wasn't part of the recall.
My late aunt once told me she saw an industrial film about quality control. It focused on a production line for canned dog food. Something got into the dog food and cased the death of some dogs. It was fictional, but it was meant to alert production line worker about how they should stay alert because if they don't something bad could happen. |

But I'd imagine dog food to have millions of additives anyway? |

| | | My dog was got sick and I took him to the vet. The vet stated he is suffering from a sick kidney... luckily the vet caught it time and can be treated with medication and blood works. The bill came to slightly over $5,000.00. I took the bill to Walmart were I purchase my dog food and Walmart agreed to pay all the vet bills. Walmart will pay the vet bills to prevent lawsuits.
I think walmart will get reimburse from the dog food companies for all damages caused by there bad food. |

my pups eat Science diet dry food. and, of course, they get treats from the table. i would probably be having a heart attack if their food was on this list. |
