Trident replacement

What are people's views on this?

I'm leaning towards saying we shouldn't have it, because obviously we want to avoid nuclear war at all possible costs and it would be expensive, amongst other reasons. But then we don't know if or if not a situation would come up where we'd want the weapons, even if just as a 'deterrent' against other countries attacking us. I don't like the idea of, say Iran or North Korea, having nuclear weapons and not us.

Totally above me, to be honest. But outside the town hall yesterday in Leeds There were lots of yellow umbrellas spelling out 'Q.U.A.K.E.R.S S.A.Y. N.O. T.O. T.R.I.D.E.N.T' so I guess that was some sort of coded message in there.
