PARIS (AP) -- Authorities in France are looking for two stolen Picasso paintings said to be worth nearly $66 million.
The Picassos disappeared overnight Tuesday from the Paris home of the artist's granddaughter, Diana Widmaier-Picasso. One of the paintings, called "Maya and the Doll" portrays her mother. The other is titled "Portrait of Jacqueline."
Police have confirmed the theft but aren't saying anything yet about how it was carried out. |
