Hillary or Obama?

Hmm, I'm not sure exactly who I like better.

Overall, I like Hillary better. But, I agree with her critics that she is a polarizing figure and it will be hard for her to become the next President of the United States due to this...

But Obama has buzz, lots of potential, and, from what I understand, he is more left than Hillary (which, I think is always a good thing). But, his lack of experience could be problematic and being too far from the middle does make it harder to get voted President in a country that worships the moderate.

What do you guys think?

I voted for Obama in '04 but I'm a Hillary supporter now. Clinton leads Obama in most polls of Democrats. Even among black voters Hillary leads him. The first primary is about ten months away. Both need to raise loads of cash, but Clinton has more money due to her recent Senate reelection victory. Hillary tends to be underrated by most people. I think she'll overcome the backlash against her by the anti war crowd. At the moment she's the better choice. Obama still has some learning to do, and I think Hillary is going to educate him about national politics.

Even if Barack somehow manages to defeat Hillary I wouldn't be that disappointed. His views aren't that far from mine and besides, WE BOTH LIKE THE SAME BASEBALL TEAM! GO WHITE SOX!!

Hillary. She has so much more experience, and she has already lived through more political fire than most could take. She's got the brains and the 'lady balls' to get the job done.

Obama may make great speeches and be a great idealist, but when it comes down to mean, nasty, butchering, politics, he will not be prepared like Hillary. His ass has been kissed too much to be prepared for the job at hand. Hell, he is the golden boy of Hollywood right now, which makes it worse. His biggest supporters are rich egomaniacs.

Politics is a dirty game, and I want someone in the White House who knows it and who knows how to navigate the mud and the shit in order to get the job done. I don't think there is a better person than Hillary Clinton.

Obama might be the vice president nominee. I like him better than Hillary he seems less jaded and more true to his beliefs..but give him more time in Congress...heh.

plus why do all these people want to be president anyway.it's just a bad time, without iraq pullout and troops in afghanistan.

Barack just seems too inexperienced -- especially in comparision to Hillary...but I don't think I'd vote for either of them.

neither.
john edwards.

if it comes down to the two of them (which it won't, unless edwards drops out of the primary, and even then i'll have other options) i'm voting clinton. for bill, not hillary.

i prefer obama over hillary, but i don't like her enough to vote for her. at all. i don't trust her. bill did a fantastic job, but hillary...it seems to me like she's out for herself more than the country. that's what i read off her.

it doesn't matter though; every election i get hyped to vote for someone and they never make the primaries. then i think it'd be better than "the other candidate" but wind up voting third party because while i'm in that booth, i cave to my idealistic side and vote third party.

so long as obama stays true to his promises/voting record matches up with his words, in the future, i think he'd have a great shot at a later election and might be someone i'd actually vote for in the two major parties.

and on the bright side, whether it's hillary or guiliani...can't be worse than bush, can it?

I would love to vote in Dennis Kucinich. Unfortunatly, he won't win the primary. But a boy can always dream.

And Al Gore, I would love Gore as president.

Both have too many flaws, I wouldnt go for either. Hilary, being a capable woman, would make a great milestone in U.S. history being the first female president but Im not sure on her, Obama, being coloured, would make a mile stone too, but its not enough due to lack of experience. As long as the republican candiate isnt George Bush this time round, which it isnt, I have a feeling its gonna be neck and neck again if not the republicans winning.

not that i'm american or follow politics but either/or is progress....a first woman president or a first african american president...either/or will do alot of good to eradicate prior systematic stigma!!
my only complaint is that obama sound's like osama (bin laden) and that can never be a good thing!!

Kucinich still gets snickered at by political reporters when they mention how he brought with him charts to a radio debate.

He forgot radio isn't a visual medium.

did you not see this bill McCain authored:

"It also covers obscene images of minors including ones in a "drawing, cartoon, sculpture, or painting." (The language warns that it is not necessary "that the minor depicted actually exist.")"

McCain went from being an actual human being to a robotic politician in the course of the last six years. I often wonder if his ambition has overtaken his sense of justice and his memory of past statements.

What a shame. I would never vote for him now. He was one Republican I respected. But that Falwell asskiss changed my mind.

Besides, the Evangelical Right have had their day in the sun and now it's over. He's barking up the wrong tree at this point. The swing is now back to populist moderates.

I'd love to see Arlen Specter run (I'm from PA). But his own party tried to shank him last time he ran. Loyalty much? He's an honest man. I don't always agree with him, but I always respect him.

Can't say that for Hillary. And Obama is just too damn young and inexperienced to be President in '08. I don't actually think race is an issue with this guy; I think it's that he just doesn't have much of a track record.

But one thing he did do that stinks: Lieberman fund raiser. Talk about backing the wrong fucking horse!!! Obama wants anyone's respect in the Democratic party, he should stay the fuck away from Benedict (Bush's bitch) Arnold.

I think Guiliani won't get the Republican ticket - he's Catholic and he has held some liberal social stances which irritates the Republican's base. McCain has a better chance, but I think that coming too strong this early could be a mistake (this could also be a mistake for the Democrats already eyeing the Democrat ticket).

My ideal candidates for President that should go against each other would be Hillary Clinton and Rudy Guiliani. It would be real close and nasty election. And it would be like New York in 2000, but all over the country. ^^
