| | | Happiness and Prosperity Which is more important to you? Happiness or a healthy bank account? Or are the two inseperable?
I'd be interested in what people have to say. |

The question was: | Both are equally unimportant to me, but I am sure that the two are separable.
I would personally rather be happy and good than rich. |

I'd be interested in what people have to say. | It depends on what is important to you. What your life experiences have been so far, and what your expectations are. |

does increasing wealth always relate to the possibility of increasing happiness, or is there a threshold to this? how would the line look on a graph of level of happiness vs wealth. i can't think of a cleaner way to word that, but by "level of happiness" i don't mean wealth directly correlates to happiness, i mean how much more happy can increasing wealth help you become. is there some sort of relationship?
not just directed at you, anyone can jump in. i just think you raised an interesting point. |

| | | Both - I want a family - that would make me happy - but I want to be able to support them no matter what they want to do. I would like to expose them to other countries, ideas, cultures and languages, and I'd like to make sure they see plenty of art and music. That means money, especially things like music lessons and holidays.
I'd also like to have a spacious house and a constant supply of good books, music, films, etc, and that takes money too, but it would give me a huge amount of happiness. |

and how rich people need a large amount of extra money to get one more point value of happiness whereas poorer people only aneed a smaller increase to get the same increas ein happiness.
makes sense. |

| | | im only prosperous at things that make me happy.
but i think i'd rather just be 'propserous' because quite frankly the thought of being constantly happy would make me just as suicidal as being constantly sad. |

| | | doing the right thing anymore is suicide
cos our convience(happiness and prosperity)
comes at the expense of the socalled "3rd world"
by design
so if you sustain survival in any sense you are morally despicable
haha
donating doesnt help because any acceptance or use of the means of exchange owned by those who set it all up onlyserves to strengthen it
so while donating might help an indivudal or a village for the time being
it onlyserves to propogate? the whole situation far into the future
they got "helping" onlocktoo
clever but super mean
