Yes, his views on U.S. foreign policy are a breath of fresh air considering his party, but damn it people he is/was a part of that big bad electronic voting machine company, ES&S or whatever the fuck it's called.

This machine was sold to the state of Nebraska in '96, the same year he won the senate seat in the state. He was running against a very popular republican in the primaries and then up against an even more popular (despite being Democrat in a red sea, both in terms of political party and sports color) candidate, the then-governor Ben Nelson, who did go on to win a different office in '00.

This machine is the same machine that was used in Florida.

Oh yeah, and despite promising Nebraskans he would never vote for the war back before it started, he did anyway. Nice and trustworthy, eh? Thanks for keeping your promise, fucktard.

Okay so no one here probably was all about him anyway, but all this Hagel love I've been hearing lately has frustrated me to the nth degree.
