I hate to sound ignorant but isn't a 1,000 pound bespoke beefeater outfit a bit heavy?

Why did it take the London people to give equal rights to females so long?

I can't imagine any woman wanted the job before this one. And that does sound ignorant - it means pounds as in pounds sterling.

the article i read on this topic in the grauniad talked about what women dont have equality in

2 women recently passed the entrance exams for the SAS despite expectations they wouldnt, and still werent allowed to join.

female beefeaters dont actually MATTER its just a nice little quirky story

who are the guys with the big hats? I thought they were beefeaters.
