Keeping a tiran like him locked up would have never worked, since a lot of Iraqi's adored the man, and would have given their lives for him.
He would have been busted out in a heart beat, and than the whole thing (capturing him, trial etc.) would all have to be done again.
Only this time around, the US wouldn't have been able to find him, he would be hiding out in a cave with Bin Laden planning the next major attack on the western world.
I'm not a fan of the death penalty, but by god if anyone did deserve it, Saddam did.

I'm watching Inside Saddams Reign Of Terror on the national geographic channel. I knew he was a horrible man but damn this guy should've been executed a long long time ago. Its just past the part of the Reagan admin giving them weapons. Thats just sick. Our gov't is just as fucked!
