Well, while I don't agree with pretty much any of her core beliefs, Margaret Thatcher did, for about three years, do something approaching a good job running this country. Shame we didn't boot her out sooner once she'd done what we needed doing, but hey, that's not her fault.

Have to say though, while I have nothing against women in power at all, I can't think of any female politicians in this country for whom I would actually vote.

i really dont care about women in politics, personally.
i dont think women should get extra publicity or props for running for office. they're all allowed and able to, and doing so isn't anything extraordinary.

and i'm not voting for women just because they're women. they better have a damn good platform too.

edit: this is all in reference to american politics, my opinions are totally different regarding international politics.

I wouldn't vote for Hillary, butI'd vote for Barack Obama.

I'd even vote for Nancy Pelosi if she ran, but I'd never vote for Hillary.

And Hillary isn't even all that liberal anyways...

What Hillary has going for her is that she's a popular, well-known Democrat. That's it really. There's not many of those.

A lot of people here say that. So what exactly makes her less liberal?
