can you get them after you have already had them?i have heard both.ok my 4 month old niece has them right now and i had them when i was 3 yrs old and mine was mild so im hoping i dont get them or shingles either.do you think i will be fine?oh btw my niece is currently crashing here and i hold her quite often as well as feed her.

i'm pretty sure there's a risk of getting it again if you didn't get a big case of it the first time around. i would just get the vaccine to be sure though.

Yeah you could get shingles. But I'm not entirely sure if you get shingles from someone with chicken pox, or just randomly.
I got chicken pox for the first (and hopefully last) time when I was 17 (after many years of thinking I was immune), and it was fucking HORRIBLE. And I don't know how on earth I got it, because I wasn't around anyone who had it. So I guess my point is that sometimes it can be completely random.
