eye problems

Today, my left eye started bothering me. It got really watery and red and it stung. I wear contacts and I thought that it was just something in my eye, so I put drops in them. That didn't help, though, so I put in another contact. It still hurt a little, but not nearly as much as before. But I noticed that my vision in my left eye was blurred after I inserted the new contact. I took my contacts out later, but my eye still hurt and my vision in that eye was still blurred. I realized that I had gotten makeup in my eye earlier and I figured that was what was my causing my problems. I'm not postitive about that, though. My question now is how can I get my eye to stop hurting and my vision to stop being blurry? Should I go to the optomologist?

Hmm..I would say carfully flush out your eye. You could have an allergic reaction to the makeup. You might also have a sty in your eye. Im not exactley sure what that is, but I know it can upset your eye a lot.
Haha sorry for not being much help. But Im pretty sure that regular doctor could tell you what was wrong.

Do you have glasses? If so, maybe try wearing them instead of your contacts for a couple of days and see if it clears up.
Have you had a cold or sinus infection lately? It sounds weird, but when I'm sick, for some reason sometimes my eyes become affected by the germs and I get the same kind of feeling...itchiness, watery red eyes, and sometimes pain. Yuck...feel better. By all means, though, you should check with your eye doctor if you think it's anything serious.

first rule of thumb is not to use new contacts in case you have an infection. you don't want to waste and infect a new pair if you don't need to. wear your glasses and i'd go see a doctor to make sure you don't have a viral infection in your eye.

i had one a few weeks back and had to get atibiotic steriod drops to clear it up. i ws in so much pain, i couldn't open my eye in the light, had to cover it. yuck.
