spending too much time online

I know that I do, and it's no good for me! So, tell me, how can I trick myself into not spending as much time online as I do now? Sheer will power?

I used to spend too much time online, especially here. Eventually, I realized I have so many more productive things to do in the real world. It happened gradually. I get online at least every other day... but usually at night when hubby is sleeping and I'd just be staring at the TV anyway. I can't go too long on checking my mail, otherwise when I get to my mailbox it says, like, 1,000 messages (980 of 'em fucking junkmail, spam...).

Start by spending less and less time on the internet. If you are usually on for two hours a day, spend only one hour a day and make yourself do something else. Then reduce it to a half and hour a day, and then once every few days for a half an hour and so on..it'll feel like cold turkey, but eventually you will learn how to live without the internet/.
