Well, non-chewable medication is designed to take effect over a prolonged period after you swallow it. You should always follow the instructions and just chew it if the directions state so. Do you have any issues with chewing medication or would you just be more comfortable with having both options? Chewable cherry sounds kind of neat to me. I think your doc would warn you if swallowing instead of chewing would make a difference, but consult him/her about it. The rules can differ depending on the medication, so don't take the chance. Ask your doctor.
