I need to find a new doctor. I haven't had a doctor's visit in about two years. I'm really not sure if I should find a male or female. I like the thought a having a female doctor that I could be friends with. But I also like the thought of a sexy guy touching my body and asking me to questions. Especially if he has a nice last name. Well which ever doctor I pick should have a nice name . My last doctor's name was Conrad. He looked like David's black boyfriend from the Six Feet Under. I forget his name. My mother was paranoid about me visiting him, I think she knew I enjoyed it.

Are you allowed to choose from a list of doctors which doctor you get or are you allowed to choose the gender? Don't be stupid, choose your doctor on the basis of them being a good doctor. What does it matter if your doctor's a good-looking male? You wont see him that often anyway. Personally, I wouldn't mind which gender my doctor is, but if I weighed the pros and cons I'd probably go with female. You say you'd like a female doctor so you can make friends with her. Who says you can't be friends with a male doctor? Do you feel awkward talking about female-specialised health problems (periods, breast-checks, etc) in front of males? If so, I think you'd be more comfortable with a female doctor. Not that a male doctor would react/treat you any differently, they deal with that sort of stuff all the time.

its hard finding a decent responsive doctor who wont blow you off AND is smart enough to be on top of things. your best bet is someone who has graduated medical school within ten years, giving enough experience to not miss something that any seasoned doc would never miss and the newness of information taught to them in medical school plus they probably still keep up with reading medical journals and dont do their CME's as extended golf trips.

also its always good to have someone certified in internal medicine, but not necessary.

my doctor is a middle aged man. he's really nice. he's been giving me stuff for my fractured arm.. his daughter had the same injury so he's nice to me.

the previous doctor was a whore though. she was this little asian woman with a really nasal australian voice. her name was grace. she couldnt be any further from that. she turned mean one day, and told me she wouldnt treat me since my broken arm since is the subject of litigation. fucking bitch.
