right, i'm on the combined contraceptive pill and i've run two packs together. i'm half way through the 2nd pack and i've started having breakthrough bleeding. can I have a 7 day break now then start a new packet after I have my period?

you can't stop halfway through a pack for your break or you won't be protected against pregnancy.
if you don't want your break/period while your boyfriend is around your ony option is to run a third pack after this one and hope the breakthrough bleeding dies down, i sometimes get breakthrough bleeding for a day or two then it stops.

DON'T STOP! Just keep taking your pills like you usually would and ONLY have a break from them when you're supposed to.
