stressed out.

i am so stressed out lately.

i am starting to get heart pains.

& the things i'm stressed out about are just like anticipation of something. something either really good or either bad. but i'm going crazy & feel like i'm going to faint at my desk.

what do you to de-stress?

Thumbs up

I thought I'd already responded to this, days ago...but apparently I'm nutz.

I would first of all advise making an appointment with your doc. This sounds like anxiety, but I'm not an MD and there are mulitple varieties of anxiety disorders. Not only that, but you'll want to have the doc do a quick check to make sure there isn't a physical reason fo these symptoms.

In the meantime, make sure you're taking areally good multi-vitamin with minerals, and load up on the B vitamins as well. They're good for nerve function and mood, including anxiety. Jen, my s-i-l, swears by fish oil capsules and so does JB (my husband). He has severe Social Anxiety Disorder and without the fish oil capsules, not even his Rx meds work properly, he says.

Aromatherapy is good too. I draw a nice hot bath with some "serenity" foaming oil in it, light a Serenity candle and put on the most relaxing music I own; then kick back with my cigs, ashtray, and maybe a small glass of something nice to drink , and just let my mind unplug while my muscles un-knot. Lovely.

Good luck, hon;

Chyia, sympathetic

I'm not saying Chyia's advice is bad but depending on how you are, you should think 'Is this medical or just a phase'. Today whenever someone feels weird/blue/anxious/stressed or whatever, it automatically has a name and needs a prescription. Everyone feels out of the ordinary more than once during their lives!

Alot of people just need to try and relax before running to the doctors. Try hanging out at home alone or with a few friends for a couple of weeks. Shop, watch movies, eat healthy and go to bed early. Ease up on the cafeine if you drink alot of it. This advice about the bath & candles sounds really good too!

If you really think this could be medical, then of course, talking to a doctor is good advice.
