I'm not sure if it's the good place to put this thread... But I've seen the thread "parents" so I thought it was ok to put it there...

A few weeks ago, I saw my father. My parents are separated since 5 or 6 years.

He told me he had a girlfriend. So I asked him how old she was, what's her job, etc.

Then, I asked him since how long they are together. I thought he would answer 1 week, 1 month, 3 month...
He said they were together since 4 years!!!

I see my father every week since my parents are separated... And he calls at home every day... And he didn't tell me he had a girlfriend...
And I still don't know where he lives. But he comes to see me every week. He is 57 years old and his "new" girlfriend is 42 years old. My brother says our father is a pimp. Not because his girlfriend is younger, but because he always comments young adolescent's ass while driving. It's disgusting... And these adolescents are usually younger than me.

I went with my father at my brother's high school for his graduation. I was ashamed because my father was looking at all the girl's ass and said to me it was "fresh meat"...

How would you react if your father would tell you he has a girlfriend since 4 years?

I would give him the benefit of a doubt on the girlfriend. He probably wanted to tell you but wasn't sure when or how, and never got around to it. Just let him know that you can handle hearing about things in his life, and he doesn't have to hide things from you.

About the lewd comments...that's disgusting. I can't imagine any good, caring father saying anything like that to his daughter. How are you supposed to see him as a benevolent, trustworthy figure and be able to go to him with matters relating to your own sexuality when he says stuff like that to you, about people younger than you? I know men don't chop their dicks off when they become fathers and they're probably going to keep thinking things like that, but they don't need to say them to their daughters. If I found out my (hypothetical) husband was talking to my daughter that way, I'd divorce him, insist on full custody, and refuse unsupervised visits. Behavior like that just makes a girl feel like she's constantly on display for men, which isn't good for her ability to trust, to value herself as a whole person, or to know what behavior not to put up with from a guy.

Thanks for your comment. I asked my father several times if I could visit him where he lives but he doesn't want... I have impression he is hiding stuff to me...

Your last sentence made me think.

I remember when I was five or six years old, my father was watching a movie and there were sexy women wearing a bikini in a pool. And he was saying (to himself) stuff like "oh, look at these beautiful babies..." but I was hearing him and I was crying lol.

The next time your father makes a lewd comment to you just look him straight in the eye, give him 'the look' and tell him point blank (in an even tone of voice) that this is information that you do not need to know.Tell him that his comments are inappropriate and make you feel uncomfortable. If you find that you cannot bring yourself to say this to him then write him a letter describing how awkward his comments make you feel. I understand that you can't mail it to him as you don't know his address but I guess you can hand it to him the next time you see him and tell him to read it on his way home. One way or the other you have to make your feelings known to him and hopefully he will stop doing this to you. Keep us posted, Deadsoul.

My brother told me that my father is always asking him if he watches porn movies, etc. My father does inappropriate comments to my brother too. But my brother isn't shy to tell him he wants my father to stop it... But my father continue!
At my brother's high school, my father was talking very loud to my brother... A lot students probably understood... My father was very serious and was saying : :"My son, your next girlfriend has to be SLIM. It's very important. And she has to have blond hair too. But the more important is that she is slim."... My brother was very embarassed (and me too) because everyone were looking at us... My brother was telling my father to shut up but he didn't...
I don't have blond hair.. lol
