Pain in teeth following fillings

This is probably very obviously answered, but I had two teeth filled a week ago. Since then the area has been very sensitive. I'm not in severe pain, but it does hurt a bit when I bite down or eat sometimes. Is this to be expected? My guess is that I'm simply not used to them yet.

I have a lot of fillings..and yes, they will be sensitive for a while.

Some of the sensitivity may remain for a significant chunk of time. If you have the silver fillings in your teeth, they might kind of sting and stuff in cold weather.

All in all, having dental problems is a shitty deal.
