Today I got the bill for my 10 minute ambulance ride from campus where I fell and broke my ankle to the hospital.

If you guessed 622.50, then you would be correct. My insurance covers most of it, but I am still going to have to pay 95 dollars of that. Those ass reaming bitches. A BROKEN ANKLE. Fuck that.

my ex's parents got a huge bill for the time they called 911 when he had kidney stones and couldn't get into his house. turns out he was already in a cab to the emergency.

rule of thumb...only call an ambulance if that is all you need. when you dial 911, they send out police, fire and ambulance and you pay for it all.

im so happy that i live in a country where health care is free, downside is that we pay 50 % or more in taxes... but at least everyone can get to the hospital without having to file for bankruptcy.
