crazy four year old temper tantrums.

im raising my nephew with his dad. hes four and usually hes a little **** but a really sweet kid. in the last 2 weeks hes been having these violent temper tantrums at home and at school. hes never acted this way before. yes hed have the occassional meltdown but nothing to this degree. hes punching and kicking walls, screaming at the top of his lungs, hates everybody, hits people, and has done far worse at school. weve talked to him. weve punished him. weve taken away all of his toys, no tv, hes to do "school" type stuff. when we ask him why hes acting out like this he tells us its because he doesnt want to be at school he wants to escape from school and the teachers wont let him and at home its because were all stupid and he hates our new house. weve been here almost a year and 2 weeks ago was the first time he complained about it. i dont know what to do with him. is this normal for four year olds? has anybody else dealt with anything like this?

i have no idea. up until 2 weeks ago he loved school. he had a bully about 2 months ago but it was dealt with and the kid is no longer in his class. there are no other new kids and nothing else has changed. he goes to school with no problem. hes happy to go every day. but once he gets there he turns into a little monster. he refuses to do the activities his group is doing. he puts himself in other groups and then disrupts them. they have to give him something special to do and keep him next to the teacher so he doesnt start running around the room acting like a classclown. and he keeps trying to get all the other kids to do bad things. last friday he led them in a paper eating riot and monday he had the smaller kids climbing on the top part of the jungle gym refusing to get down.
