If a man came to you, at some point in your relationship with him, whether its as a friend (in the friendzone) or as a romantic/sexytimes relationship (in the sexytimes zone..but not the rapezone)

and said that he had been sexually molested as a child and humiliated either by a male or a female or parents or friends...

what would your emotional response and your actual response be?

like for example.."laugh in his face" or something...I mean would you think less of him as a person? would you stop dating him because he was too damaged or not worth the effort? would you hug him? protect him?

these are not the choices you have to choose from..just sort of a guide for what I'm looking for as a an answer to this survey of KR land.

Im actually being serious here...

Is this a hypothetical question or not? I feel like I'd like to know sooner rather than later.

I would first tell him I was very, very sorry for him.
I'd thank him for trusting me enough to tell him.
I would not stop dating him or seeing him, I would not think less of him or ignore him or anything.
I'd be open to talk about it if he wanted to and let him know that if he never speaks of it again, I would neither.
I'd let him know his secret is safe with me.
And I'd hug him ofcourse.

if it were a friend, i would offer love and support. the rest is kind of subjective. if it were just a casual ****buddy or at the beginning of a relationship, it would probably make me uncomfortable or make the person seem a little weak and needy, and i would peace the **** out. if a solid romantic establishment had been formed, then, i would want to know all about it and the effects it has had on him. and be nuturing and caring. but, it is a lot to take on until you have a strong, solid relationship foundation whether than be friend or romantic. but, i am not a layday. and i do not fancy weak men. i don't lay out my personal baggage for anyone, i keep it inside. and i am a strong person. so, you have to be so much stronger than me for me to be romantically interested in you.
