Sounds like Gum disease to me.
I have it really bad when I was pregnant.
[most people suffer from mouth problems when pregnant]
I was in utter agony and like you couldn't sleep.
I just cried for 3 days straight, I ended up going to the emergancy denist on a sunday, they told me I had really bad gum diease and gave me a antibacteral mouthwash.
It took about a week after that for it to completely clear up.
Go to the dentist, in the meantime, go and buy yourself a really good mouthwash.
