i was certain my cat got outside and was following two cats that were fighting. i swear i saw his white coat in the dark and i followed him and he'd keep being somewhere else so i went behind the shed and almost fell down a hill... and all this time he was asleep in my bed. it's so disconcerting. i've never had anything like that happen before. and i didn't take any ambien or anything that might affect me that way.. just some melatonin as i don't slep well. i got my mom's death certificate in the mail today and being that i'm still in complete denial i guess that caused some mental upset.
but still it is creepy.

I'm really sorry to hear about your mother shadow. I know when my dad died I had a difficult time ... a lot of clouded judgement, doubting, questioning etc...

I think in rare cases melatonin can cause hallucinations. Perhaps that coupled with you coping with the recent passing of your mother caused it to happen? I'm sure it was pretty creepy but try not to let it bother you too much if it was an isolated incident. If it continues or increases though def take it to your doc.

thank you skyy and tatty mae. i'll do some research on melatonin, if there's a weird side affect it'll be me it happens to.
yes geek, considering all things i've done a great job of sticking to my meal plan even when i haven't wanted to. my dr. and therapist are both pretty pleased.
i had another one also involving my cat, when i opened the front door i thought the outdoor cat was trying to get in and tried to shut it and then cooper ran in, but cooper was already inside.
maybe it's because my sleep is so disturbed and i've got the obsessive worries about everything right now. i just booked my ticket to az to see my dad and that's got me all anxious as well. i just hope these 'visions' don't happen during the day i think that would really throw me for a loop.
