Am i imagining this?

sometimes i only sleep about 4 hours, and whenever i do the next day, i swear my heart beat feels irregular. is this possible/ normal? or am i just imagining it? i dont know much about sleep deprivation and its effects, if they are individual or if there are common effects... i figured id ask

this may sound weird but both the drummer and bassplayer in my band have irregular heartbeatings both caused by lack of sleep, lack of movement and unhealthy food.(the dont smoke or dirnk alot)

edit: They were both told to try to sleep more (and on a regulary base), do some fitness or sports and to hold back on burgers etc.

yes, i guess it has something to do with you not getting enough sleep. it has happened to me at times when i wouldn't sleep for more than 3-hours for days in a row.

Lack of sleep increases corsitol levels, which can make you have heart palpitations (basically make your heart feel like it is pounding, or racing). I get so tired sometimes I find it hard to breathe.
