I suppose most of it was built pre-global warming and unbeliavable pollution. It was very recently that the southeast started to get unbearably hot. So that could be it. But I never understand what is wrong with people here. When it's hot and they smell the worst and they stick to each other in a crowded bus, that's when they are the happiest.

my friend in thailand says the only possible way to live there is from the house to the car.
extreme weather sucks, cold or hot.

I'd never been anywhere where I couldn't deal without a/c until I went to Israel. I visited LA in 2002, but I remember that was bearable. Tel Aviv, however, was 35c and 85% humidity. It's the humidity that kills me.

it gets 40c in Portugal and they have no aircon.
and they seem to find it convenient because a lot of old people die.
