like, you know how any EU passport holder can work in any EU state. Well a guy from slovakia (called Kolpak) wanted to play for a german team, and they ruled that a strong trade relation could similarly entitle a person to a work permit for that country. It's mostly been a sport thing so I don't know if it applies to normal people, but the EU ruling obviously was originally intended for just everyone and taken in by sport so it might go both ways. basically, in rugby and cricket here, where these things are most high profile, all the foreigner rules are side-stepped by south africans due to this kolpak thing.
but I have no idea, I don't think it's as straight forward as an EU passport right.
