I think there's a point in some individuals lives where they just have to excise people who are completely toxic. It really does get to the point where if you don't you will literally lose your mind and control of your own life.

& it's not worth it

these kind of situations bring me closer to the right people
including myself

Esp. if you had any self esteem issues,
you really don't need that kind of drama working on yourself.
There's only hope they may even grow out of it give it another 10 years but usually by then if it hasn't changed it never will.

My father. I stopped speaking to him the 348273847734th time he ****ed me over, about a year ago. He does try to keep in touch with me but I never respond/ answer the phone. I feel a little bad but then I remember every bad thing he ever did and now I'm just indifferent.

Well i'm still not completely reconciled to the fact of being friendly with him again, it was definitely time to draw a line in the sand with how he was behaving, but I think the time has helped.
