| Take your tablets.
i am on a strong dosage of anti-depressants (not quite prozac though). I also had counselling and the techniques i learnt to help myself in embarrasing, panic stricken or pointlessly emotional situations work better when i am on the tablets.
i do know what you mean however, when you say you are worried of not coming off them. I for one do not ever want to come off them. But right now they are helping me so much that i don't see that as a bad thing....
if you are desperate, do it; trust your doctor. otherwise you will just exhaust yourself emotionally.
oh, and also. I can't say 'Try not to feel embarrased' because i do not like to tell people i am taking anti-depressants. However, when admitting to people i am taking them (for example, my boyfriend's mother, a couple of cousins, and a teacher) it wasn't too bad. They all knew other people who take pills or even have done themselves... it is more common than i ever thought. I do understand though, because even writing down on here that i take them is embarrasing!!
however, they will help at the end of the day. That's the bottom line.. and no one has to know unless you choose to tell them.
