Do anti-depressants make you more egotistical?

does depression humble you, does happiness make you more insensitive to others?

lol All in all anti-d's are useless. They can give you more of a stable footing to work through your issuses but they are far from a cure. Also the majority of anti-d'z don't actualy work with alot of people. There's been loads of recent studies that have come back saying it all depends on the paitents opinion to the drugs to wheather they actualy work or not... Sounds more like a placebo to me although the transition from being on a steady course of them and forgetting a day would send me wild for a week or so. I completely hate everything about anti-d'z and think no-one in any cercumstances should take them. Their not a safety blanket their just to a way for the docs to shut you up so you don't waste anymore of their time with this self-indulgence. And thats what d is, it's self-indulgence.

They don't make people more egocentric than being unmedicated.

My friend recently started anti-depressants, and she is sort of self absorbed but I believe that's to be expected, seeing as she's going through rough times and trying to get out of them, trying to help herself therefore must focus on herself.

But egotistical? I don't see that in her.
