| | | something a little less severe than tourettes. but jsut as bad when it happens. do any of you internet people, when conducting yourself irl, inconveniently contract tourettes and blurt out hostile, strange, neurotic, unfriendly, non sequitur, sometimes downright disrespectful, and/or inopportune things in public. mostly when you accidentally see someone you aren't expecting to see, but obviously you do see them, and its impossible to simply say hellow and walk on by? (because it would be rude.) its like a personal affront
currently i am lamenting that this evening i said to a really important person, after realising they were walking behind me and some other people, "i dont like it when people i know walk behind me without telling me". and it got worse after that. of course this all occured it was directly after me saying really audibly, "tom can go fuck himself!". urgh i feel sick
i really just want to know that other people get automatically and blatantly unfriendly when they coincedentally run into people, so i feel better
the only person who can do this without seeming completely retarded is james spader.

| | It happens to me too. Especially when I cross my neighboor on the street or on our common balcony. He really annoys me, and his girlfriend too. Mostly because when I moved in, we had to lift upstairs my sofa and it was too long to just open the door and pass it trough it. The only thing he had to do was opening his door so we would have enough place to make the sofa enter in my flat. My roomate and I knocked on this door, called him. He must have been so scared that we ask him to help us lifting stuff I guess (we never EVER ask him anything). He didn't answer so we had to lift the sofa by the balcony (on the 2nd floor) with USB cables. When we finished, I look in his window fastly and he opened the light, sitting on his couch and doing nothing. Argh.
Well, since then, I don't say really hostile stuff when I cross him but it's all in the tone that comes in a more agressive way than I intend to. Last week, I told him: "If you guys don't eat the tomatoes that grow on MY side of the balcony, I'm going to fucking EAT them, ok?". He looked at me strangely. Anyway, I know what you mean Vulgaris.
Sorry for the long post.
Pics of said tomatoes :

| | | Well, I have read - AND experienced - a form of tourettes that result as a side effect of taking anti-psychotic meds. It's called 'tardive disconesia' (sp) but basically this condition results if you take the meds for around 5-10 years, as I have done.
I was not even supposed to be taking this medication - because I was not schizophrenic - but suffering from drug induced psychosis. Perhaps they do treat that with anti-psychotics too - but I am really pissed off now that without my meds - I blurt stuff out randomly like a tick.

| | | Yeah I know what you mean, vulgaris.
I get really awkward and find myself saying things that are really socially inappropriate just for the sake of saying something.
And then I feel like shit afterwards, and re-think the situation and how I could have not acted like a complete dick.
We are a special breed of tourettes, maybe? "Selective tourettes".

| | | i don't think i get the tourrettes thing really but i do go really far out of my way to avoid speaking to people i know when i run into them unexpectedly. like pretending i don't see them and borderline-sprinting in another direction. and that's even if i have no problem with the person whatsoever. i just have like an auto-aversion to talking to people if i didn't know i was going to see them.
this is all especially true at the grocery store. i really don't like running into people at the grocery store. i almost avoided my own father at the deli counter a couple months ago, and if it hadn't been such a wide-open location, i probably would have. |

although actually. i did do something incredibly fucking stupid the other day. there's this guy in my lecture and my friend and i deliberately sit behind him because he's always drawing hilarious pictures instead of taking notes, and we like to imitate what he's drawing etc. and last week i whispered to my friend, "that's what he drew last week." which was fucking RETARDED of me because i may as well have yelled it in his ears, he was that close to me. anyway i'm sure he heard it because on tuesday he was kind of covering up what he was drawing. but we could still see it anyway. it was a small house. boring. he used to draw dinosaurs and robots. |

| | | I don't know what I have....
say someone calls me..the second I hang up, if I'm home alone I get all spazzy and scream "FUCK YOU BITCH" or "ASSHOLE BITCHFACE" or "SHIT FUCKER" ect...even if they didn't say anything wrong...it's weird...
or sometimes I get innerly hyper and say I go to get something from my basement I get all spazzy and jumpy as soon as I get down there and say somthing extremely innapropriate outloud....
I only do it when I'm alone...but I do it in my head all the time...I get innerly hyper and verbally vulgar...what is this?
it's worse than it sounds. |
