i use a plastic sandwich bag, another bag over that, with damp sponge pieces in it. then i put it in thicker plastic bags.

i keep some separate for the next week.

anyone have an easier or better way?

wow misfitaids stole my answer.
another good way is to put it in the freezer.
the downside of orange peels is it makes your weed smell like ass. but you can get like 20 hits off one bowl.

After a grow and the weed is dry enough for a stem to snap, I put the weed in mason jars (the type with a sealable air tight lid).

If any moisture forms on the glass I take the weed out immediately and rack again until dry enough to put in mason jars. You see, usually there is moisture left in the very center of the nugget which then is released throughout the bud giving a roughly 15% moisture level which is perfect for a long smoke. Not too wet, not too dry, just right!

Oh, and dont put weed in the freezer - I hear it ruptures all the THC glands (the mushrooms on bud under the scope) and this lessens the potency of the weed. Ive personally photographed the mushrooms, so I know they exist, and know they also contain THC because its what you make high grade hashish from...

the dispensery uses mason jars. where do you get them?

it's so hot in my apt., i think cold would be better. it's not like it's going to be there for more than a few weeks.

you should be able to buy them at any grocery store.
but i would recommend the jars from headshops they have a better airtight seal on them.

One very stupid mistake I made was leaving my weed near some dryer sheets. It totally ruined it but I smoked it anyway and I think I got like some toxic fumes from the dryer sheets- it hurt.

Well, perhaps the difference is a good smoke and a really good smoke? I dunno - I've never left weed in the freezer because I know THC is stored in the trichomes and this is what gets you high. Perhaps if your weed is already dry and the trichomes are dead then they will not burst releasing THC into the atmosphere, but if your weed is fresh, like my home grown, then maybe mason jars are the way to go!

I spend a lot of time on growing sites, and they always recommend mason jars over freezer all the time...
