I'm planning on having a psychedelic weekend soon and was probably going to use acid but have since reconsidered. I've heard it gets you kind of energised and I've got some waterfront property and I don't want to drown.

Therefore this is the official poll.

Shrooms or Acid?

What are the pros and cons of each? Which is better for a first time user? Or should I just steer clear and stick to more recreational drugs?

Anyways, I've only ever done shrooms.

You have to be in the right state of mind, and be completely sure you want to take them or you'll probably have a bad trip. Maybe not if it's your first time, cause the first time is usually the best.

Some people think they taste nasty (I don't haha) so you may want something to eat them with.
I'm done with shrooms for the time being though.

I have no idea because I've never done either but for some reason I would choose shrooms. And my friends said that if you do them in a forest setting it's cooler. And if you're on waterfront property it could be cool?

I've never done it but my mom said she did acid once and saw neon purple haze.

Funny I always thought my mom was pristine. Couldn't be more far from the truth.

I've never done either but I'd imagine the shrooms are safer since they are natural.
I've heard a bad acid trip can mess you up for life but that could just be an urban legend. But shrooms sound like they'd be chill and cool especially if you're just enjoying the water.

I've heard Acid is really dangerous and too intense, but shrooms are supposed to be better, and less harsh and more fun. But I personally don't know, I've never taken either.

As an experienced psychedelicised user of schrooms and acid here are my two pennies worth;

Acid lasts longer than shrooms and has a dirty comedown unlike shrooms.

Both can be as intense as each other. Both can be pretty mild. It is all about finding the right dose. Do not listen to people on here or anywhere else giving a correct dosage - there is not one. It is all dependent on you.

The only way to find the correct dose is to experiment. I hear 3.5g of shrooms (liberty caps) is weak as is one tab of botter acid.

If you do not like eating raw magic mushrooms - make a tea to drink out of them.

If you are considering hallucinagens - may I suggest a book called 'Plants of the Gods' - its a full colour book with many many different types of trips to take from identifying magic mushrooms in the wild to peyote to kratom. Albeit many of the plants listed are of the deadly nightshade family and are not worth injesting unless you want to come close to death.

Remember, on acid it feels likes you've pissed your pants and on shrooms its like its impossible to breathe because your throat closes up. These are facts and not to be taken lightly. O.k., maybe not...

I definitely enjoy acid. But for some reason, I never trip when I take shrooms. I feel some effects (only after I follow it up with some pot), but I've never halucinated or had any powerful psychedelic response.

i'm totally going against the majority here, i like acid better. like silvine said it lasts longer. and chances are it's cheaper. 2 blotters of acid for no more than 20 bucks vs. an 8th of shrooms for 35. most people don't hallucinate on acid like is the common belief. u have to take ALOT to get to that point. u kinda see shit move and trails and stuff but ur not going to see purple polka dot hippos in tutus running across the lake. (unless u take alot) it's more of a body high. the first time i did acid i took a gel tab. smoked alot of weed and drank a shot of crown royal. my face hurt the next day from laughing. it was by far the best drug experience i've ever had. i've found shrooms to be the one to give me the more visual shit. most ppl i've talked to say the same thing. and they also agree that u can more easily have a bad trip on shrooms. acid is alot easier to control, imo. so if u don't want to drown i'd go with that. but it depends on ur body really. every person reacts to them differently. i once took shrooms and walked to the bathroom while my ex's sister was in the shower and didn't know what the hell was going on until i was in the middle of the bathroom and realized the shower was on. (i then went back and made him come back to the bathroom and ask her for me if i could pee; then stand there uncomfortably while watching his gf pee while his sister was naked in the shower 2 ft away)


no matter which one u choose, don't be around anyone u even mildly dislike. bring good music (i like happy music on acid, i break out the tool and pink floyd for the shrooms) boardgames/video games. and something creative (i like paydoh) but anything to get ur creative juices flowwing. even if it's just a guitar. and if u do smoke weed definately bring that too. becuz u need to relax fully for the drugs to work their best.

hmmm, my friend and i are planning to do acid rpetty soon. im a bti scared, because he says he cant stop playing guitar because it puts him in the right space, but the boy can't play guitar at all! fucking frustrating.
