I stopped taking the pill two weeks ago to give my body a rest from it, but almost overnight my usually clear complexion has broken out a lot. I had a feeling it might happen but what's the best way to sort it out? Wait it out or try some good cream/herbal pills? Any ideas/ same experiences. I might just start taking it again, I can't handle having spots when i'm not used to them

I break out during my week off from the pill, I suppose it's the same idea. Your skin will probably go back to normal, you just need to give your hormones time to even out.

You don't *need* to take breaks from the pill for your body's sake (its better to keep your hormones level then go on/off/on/off) but if you choose to, fair enough. I imagine it will take a month or so for your body to get used to the hormone changes and go back to normal.

True, but I just felt that maybe I would feel better having a break after taking it constantly for years. It may be physchological but I think my stomachs flatter too. The skin thing is quite annoying though, at 21 you don't wanna be feeling 15 again!
