| I'm having more or less constant panic attacks after getting mugged So basically I moved to South Tottenham (right by Seven Sisters) 2 weeks ago, cuz I got into drama school. Then on Monday night I got mugged by a gang of 4-5 big black guys right outside the gate to my halls. They took my phone, threatened to stab me in the neck and punched me in the face, so I ended up at the emergency room till 6AM. I've completely blacked out the point from them taking my phone to entering my flat. I have ABSOLUTELY no memory of it. The hospital said it might be due to the shock or the concussion I had.
Ever since then I've been getting really severe panic attacks, the worst one happened this morning. We were supposed to go on a backstage tour of the National Theatre, and I freaked out on the tube, so when I finally got there I just ended up sitting in the bathroom shaking for an hour. I've not registered with a GP here yet, but am going to this afternoon when they open. I just got a letter from the Metropolitan Police that I'm eligible to apply for compensation via CICA. So basically my question to those who've had similar experience is, how long does it take to get a prescription to anti-anxiety/anti-depressants? & has anyone ever gotten compensation from CICA? I'm freaking out everytime I have to go somewhere because this area is scaring the shit out of me now, and I can't get on with my day like this.
Also I got diagnosed with cardiomegaly at the hospital, so I'm freaking out about having a heart attack.
