Mourning Period

I personally find it creepy when people are still in mourning an entire year later. I'd like to know other people's opinions because mine leans towards the "get over it" side of things in this instance.

I mean it's sad to lose someone you're best friends with- but to still be gutted a year later would indicate that the mourner needs counseling. Personal experience for me has been about 3-6 months depending on the person to stop feeling sad that they're gone. I'm certainly not still gutted to the point of holding grave-side vigils...

What do you think the average is? Because I feel like a cunt for wanting to slap him in the face with a flame thrower and tell him to suck it up and be a man.

IMO grave side vigils should be over the day of the funeral.

I suppose you cant put a time limit on such things..like i still think about my mum almost every day and i often think of my friend and have a little cry...but im certainly not still mourning any of them.

I say, slap him.
