cowgirl has a spectacular aura about cowgirl has a spectacular aura about cowgirl has a spectacular aura about
anxiety and working

does anyone else suffer anxiety just through working? i do. i have anxiety anyway but i can cope with it mostly, but when i have a job every moment im not there im worrying about going. i get this sickening feeling in my stomach like im on death row. once im at work im actually okay strangely enough! i have tried different jobs and whatnot but all of them give me the same feelings of doom and gloom. eventually it will progress into a horrible despression and i end up leaving work. only when i am not working am i truely happy with no depression whatsoever! but obviously this is financially impossible

I feel anxious about work the same way as I felt anxious about school. For me it's not the actual work part- that's easy, it's the social aspect of it. My first job I was a mess at the time and I had to leave because I was constantly shaking and spilling stuff, I was a waitress. I used to cry every day going and when I came back. I think it's more of a social anxiety with me though, the waitress job was the worst because I had to be around so many people I just crumbled.
I'm not sure if that's what you're talking about or you just don't like working?

i'm anxiou at work too.
well, my job is stressing reputated. so that's a bit normal i guess.
i always worry about what i could forget, what i have to say when calling a customer, what could i forget in my last report, what i have to do, etc.
i try to deal with it.
i just need to think to very different things when i'm home. i need to disconnect from my busy day.
when i'm alone at home, KR is my holy air. (at this precise moment, i'm doing my lunch break!!lol)

if you're really anxious, i mean crying causing work, feeling exhausted every time, i think you should see a doctor and do psychotherapy or something. i don't know your financial status, but if you don't have that much money, maybe your family could help you. i mean, that's for your mental and physical health.
i could advice you doing some sport too, to relax. Running, biking and swimming are very efficient against anxiety.
hope i help a bit. i just gave you what worked on me.

Argh yeah i've been suffering from it a lot lately. I started a new job about a month ago.. My first job in retail & it's all about seeking out the customer & trying to secure a sale, if they buy something we have to show them more items to try & make them buy more & we have sales targets.. like the other day mine was $1500 in four hours!
I've always had problems approaching people so this job is a real challenge, sometimes i just have to go into the back room & take a few deep breaths & calm down/freak out a little bit. There's so much pressure!

Not working is definitely easier than working (well obviously.. but especially on people with anxiety/depression) but if you don't push yourself out there, speaking from my own experience here.. i tend to become a bit of a recluse & the longer i'm unemployed the harder it is for me to go to any interviews or even be in social situations with people i've known for years. It gets harder to function.

The only thing i can suggest is to keep trying different fields.
Or if you honestly cannot handle it, how about working from home?

I get this but just force myself to keep going ugh. I hate that dread feeling I get every morning before work.
