what's best for healing a red mark where a scar was

right, I rather foolishly fell through a wardrobe door 2 weeks ago when I was at a party (apparently it was comic genius) however I managed to completeky trash my face up in the process. I had a big scab under my nose for about a week and a quite a few other cuts and scratches. They've all cleared up now and the scab has gone but obviously it has left a big red mark, it's not that bad and i'm not particularly bothered by it but obviously I do want it to go away sooner rather than later.

So, what is the best course of action? I was putting vaseline on it at night, thinking the moisture would help it but then I kinda wondered if just leaving it be to get dry would be better so the skin would sort of dry up and flake off faster and I wouldn't be irritating it.

what's best? Or should I look to buy some sort of cream thing?

did you pick the scab off? cause that can make things worse. once i used wax on my face when i was tyoung and didnt know what i was going. disastor, basically the same happened, it went after about a week. i did just put normal moisturiser on it. so i guess vaseline should be good too. it wwill probably not be noticibale after a week or something

no. you cannot believe the will power I exerted that week to avoid doing so. I did help it off when it was beginning to fall away but that was it.

I guess, I'll just leave it be then, it's fading as it is, I just wondered if there was any standard procedure.
