I was prescribed about three weeks ago, it's supposed to kick in around now. I dont know. Just want some info on how its helped (or not helped) you.

I took it years ago - took it for about 3 years, and I found it helped. I didnt have problems coming off it - but when I was on seroxat (paroxetine) I had a lot of bad side effects after stopping. Ive been since on other antidepressants and I found effexor worked, but I think they all kinda plateau after a while - now Im on reboxetine but dont think it helps much, but would be hard to change coz Im on other meds and may have to be 2 weeks without anti-ds and dont think I can do it.

SSRI can take a bit longer than 3 weeks to kick in, but if you dont feel better in another week or so go back to your doctor and maybe they'll change your anti-d or increase your dosage.
