Has anyone had appendicitis?

I think I'm being overly paranoid and I was always under the impression symptoms were fairly rapidly progressing... but I've had stomach pains on and off for two weeks and it's getting worse. Not unbearable worse, but just not-going-away either.

My bowels are all messed up too, which is strange because I eat so much fibre and have never had a problem.

I'm not feverish or lacking in appetite though.

I know I should see a doc, but just in case anyone was on here tonight.....

i've had it - my stomach really hurt for a day and i went to docs that night i think and he siad i had it and went to hospital then...if youv had it for a couple of weeks i dont recon it's that, go to yr doctors and theyl tell you but i think your appendix would have exploded by now if it was that hehe

i had it, tho got diagnosed wrong at first so my appendix actually burst....not nice, and lotsa pain!

Id go have it checked out.. does it hurt if u press onto ur right side more when u press it, or when u actually release the pressure?

the reason i say is because if it is an appendicitis it should hurt more when the pressure is released...if that makes sense!!

im guessin that it prob isnt one,but as i said go get it checked out anyways if ur worried.

ive always been told that when the appendix bursts that the pain sharply abates? you say it got worse?

Please go get it checked. My best friend's little girl is in the pediatric ICU right now because her appendix ruptured and she got septicemia.
