| Cause of low sex drive? (diet?) Someone mentioned on another messageboard that zinc helps increase your sex drive, so I did a bit of googling and this seems to come from proteins. Being vegetarian, I don't get that much protein in my diet as it is, and since starting living in university halls I can fairly say that this has dropped to almost nil. My mum used to really try to give me a good, balanced diet whereas here...it's a lot of bulk, I don't eat a lot of it but buy my own oranges, dried fruit etc and wait for next year when I can cook for myself.
Anyway, aside from my problem with hall food...
I have a very low sex drive and the post on the other messageboard set me off wondering if it was in part down to my diet, although there are clearly other contributory factors... I don't like admitting it because I am sort of ashamed of it, but I never masturbate, simply because I tried it before and never got anything from it, just got bored. I lost my virginity last year but I think I started to resent my boyfriend and basically went off him, though I realise that even if I got some super hot boyfriend I probably shouldn't count on a magic man to solve my problem. I'm not on the pill or anything like that (although I do get pretty bad period pain, so my mother is always trying to pressurise me into going on it when I am unfortunate enough to be on my own with her.)
Help! I really don't want to be asexual, it's rubbish to feel like this. I probably haven't articulated this very well because I'm quite tired, but at least I've finally got around to asking about it. Any advice would be very much appreciated. |
