lymecycline

Well my doctor gave me lymecycline its a type of anti-biotic to sort out my skin. But after getting them i suddenly thought anti-biotics and alcohol arent meant to be mixed.. it doesn't say on the box if i can or cant have alcohol, but i'm going out next weekend for a celebration which would involve alcohol. So anyone know if its okay to mix them, i've tried searching the net and nothings come up. Or should i stop taking them until after the night of drinking just incase.

Well I used to take doxycyline and you could drink fine with them, in terms of it not making you ill or anything, but it does stop them being absorbed properly. Doesn't matter that much if its for your skin only though. It would matter more if you were treating an STD or infection or something.

Thankyou! I searched everywhere and nothing came up so i thought well if it was one of the anti-biotics which is bad to mix there would be clear warnings, and seeing as im not ill... I'll just have to not overdo the night, but im celebrating getting into uni
