Being passive-aggressive can means lots of behaviours within one sort of... disorder? Broadly speaking, it's just a negative attitude that manifests itself in various ways. The term seems to be used a lot in the context where the 'passive-aggressive' person is hostile but not directly in a confrontational or violent way. Sarcasm can be one example.

There's a wikipedia page on it, check that out, it has loads of examples of this behaviour.

Do you think you know someone with this problem? I know someone right now, specifically my bf's flatmate, who is exhibiting this kind of behaviour and he's making my bf's time at home pretty uncomfortable and outright tense. It's incredibly uncool.

thank, yeah i do think i know someone, but im not sure what theyre doing, passive agressive makes sence in the 2 words, passive and agressive? theyd be like angry with someone but never tell them and let it come out in little comments?
like they cant just say what they think?
argh this is making no sence
for example . . . . . someone shouts ARE YOU TWO HAVING SEX UP THERE
the the passive agreesive says , hes not my type . . .
that doesnt sound very strange but in thr situation, where they are pissed off with the person but wont say anything about it? like they WANT TO SAY MEAN THINGS but just wont? in stead of laughing it off as the joke it was they say something like this?

this person is ALWAYS 'happy' and lovely and sweet and you wouldnt think they would be able to be angry or shout ever but sometimes you just KNOW they want too?
im trying to think of examples but i cant right now......

basically in the general popular sense it hink it basically refers to exactly what you have described,

like someone is aggressive towards someone else, but this manifests passively, with snide comments, pulling faces, bitching behind their back
