Talking my aunt's cancer (happynews!)

my aunt has been having chemo for six months for breast cancer. it's been a very difficult time for my family (my grandmother died in september too, it's been a lot to deal with), she's like the centre of our family, and we were all terrified of what might happen. i was overseas when she found out and nobody told me until i got back because they didn't want to ruin my trip. i felt gutted.

anyway she just went in for the surgery where they go in and have a look and see if the cancer is still there and potentially do a mastectomy if necessary. and she's out of surgery now, and my uncle says she's fine and the surgeon says everythings fine, and they didn't have to do a mastectomy. so i guess the cancer's gone? we have to wait til she wakes up for more details obv.

i'm just so happy and relieved, you don't realise how precious your family is until something like this happens. SO YAY

i can't stop crying

that's excellent news. i'm glad she didn't have to have a mastectomy. fingers crossed she won't even have to have anymore chemotherapy.

my mother had ovarian cancer when i was younger and had a full hysterectomy and i remember what an awful time it was. so i genuinely understand what you guys have experienced.

i hope the good news continues for your aunt and your family x
