i'm 20 and mine were removed last tuesday. it's been 11 days. the pain is still incredibly intense. they told me i wouldn't need to continue with my tylenol 3 medication after a few days out of surgery, and yet... here we are...
i wake up every morning after five hours of sleep feeling as though i've been kicked in the face. i try to drink a glass of water to lubricate, but water actually stings.
It will end, hun. It takes longer for adults, partly because we are done growing, and partly because we don't have the sense to NOT TALK.
Try some chicken broth.
I haven't had mine out, but my s.i.l. did at age 27 and chicken broth, not real hot, made a big difference for her.
I'm starting to think I might have to. One of them has been swollen all my life and about three weeks ago a bit of popcorn kernel got wedged in it and I just can't get it out....now i think its probably going to go septic and drop off. And I'm having wisdom tooth problems at the moment. Its a whole world of non-fun in my mouth.
i had mine out when i was 18
it hurt
but not as bad as having my wisdom teeth out about 6 months later
