Back when I was still a virgin, I used maxi pads. Now that I'm all open wide I stick to tampons(gentle glide, preferably). You can't feel them and they are way more sanitary than maxis. Plus the odor isn't as potent when you use tampons.

The only time I use maxi pads is when I'm sleeping and when my cramps are so bad that I can't even stand the thought of anything going near my vagina.
occasionally maxi pads at night. but never in the day because i'm constantly aware of it and so they make me feel really self-conscious for some reason. you know when you feel like everyone around you just KNOWS.

Maxi pads aren't less sanitary than tampons.
If anything, it's the other way around.
Unless you're talking about disposal, then I can understand.
but i really hate wearing pads during the day so i go for the really thin ones. they are still gross though. but its better than getting your underwear and jeans bloody.
