I have been given anti biotics for an abcess, they are called FLUCLOXACILLIN

I have always thoguht you can't drink alocohol if you are taking anti-biotics but the leaflet with them doesn't mention alcohol at all so now I'm confused.

unpearl will become famous soon enough
you can probably do it but it will reduce the effectiveness of the antibiotics. it will probably be ok for one night or every once in a while. of course, watch out for any weird side effects, like a rash or unusual responses to the alcohol (ie, you might be more susceptible to the effects of alcohol, lower tolerance). if you notice any symptoms, stop drinking immediately.

be safe.

its perfectly, 100% safe to drink alcohol with them and it will have no effect on their action so dont worry, as long as the antibiotic ends in 'cillin' its ok to mix with alcohol. its those that end in 'cide' or 'cyclin' is where the problem comes in.

You are probably thinking of birth control. Antibiotics reduce the effectiveness of birth control.
