i thought the inhaling smoke thing was the problem, not the nicotine part.

yeah smoke is the irritant and that contains carcinogens not nicotine

Yeah, I realised that its a bloody waste of time and was giving me a headache no less so I have decided to enjoy the smoke while it lasts and not renew my subscription.
