Do you guys have any idea what this could be? It's freaking me out...

OK, this started a few days ago when I ran out of my usual deodorant (which is a natural deodorant) and decided to temporarily use my husbands (which is a very strong deodorant).

After a couple of days my underarms got itchy so I decided to stop using it...but then the next day, I felt a painful spot in the middle of my armpit, which I thought was a zit of some kind.
I didn't pay it any mind, but later that day, it had busted or something and it's been draining puss ever since (for like 3 days now) and it HURTS...also, it has swollen up and all around the spot it has risen and gotten firm (kind of lump-like).

This is freaking me out...can someone help me figure this out? I can't afford a doctor and I would hate to have to beg my mother for another doc visit after my bad bout with mono, recently...she only has so much money herself.

because you cannot afford a doctor, it was very wise of you to come on KR and ask us for diagnosis. I diagnose you with an armpit tumor. happy?

I'm not asking for a diagnosis...I'm asking for advice. Or to see if something similar has happened to anyone else here...

Unless this is some kind of weird thing that happens to someone of my age or something like that, then I guess I will have to beg, borrow or steal my way into a doctor's office...but I didn't think it hurt to ask for advice first, before I go and waste a lot of money.

ive had those before, without the puss leakage. i think it sounds like you have a pimple or ingrown hair. the deoderant you used probably irritated your skin and such. dont use deoderant (obviously) until it goes away but if its bad enough id hope that your mom would be understanding enough to help you out and see a doc.

as for *untouchable* - tard of the century as usual.

Did it swell up? I'm only asking because I am not used to this kind of thing at all.

Also, how long did it take for yours to go away?

There is no zit left, just a little crater of sorts where the zit/bump was and it's still has puss...and is very swollen.

My mother has a theory that it could've been a hive that I developed from a reaction to the deodorant that busted...but I don't know.

It smells bad also...I knew you all wanted to know that.
