| Well NHS direct are about as useful as a fish on a bicycle, so they are far from your best port of call (I phoned on sunday night-1am, peeing blood, wanted to know if I should go to A&E, they told me they'd call me back in 2-3 hours...) However, taking things like that on an empty stomach can be bad for two reasons. Firstly things like antioxidants can be quite acidic and could irritate your stomach lining sufficiently to give you a stomach ulcer (which trust me is 1 million degrees of hell). Secondly, taking most supplements on an empty stomach means they won't be absorbed, so its really just pissing money down the drain. |
