sometimes at different points in my cycle though i get really sensitive nipples and it's normally menstrual cycle related.

have you had anyone suck them at all? maybe they're a bit bruised, if that someone was a bit rough. it could be hard to tell because of the colour some nipples are anyway (like if you already had dark nipples).

also, tender breasts can be an early sign of pregnancy, but if you've just had a normal period then i'm guessing it's not that.
